A big Hello and Welcome from us (Skillmint co-founders)

A big hello (and a warm welcome) from us!

Well… here we go.

After months of quietly building, tweaking, breaking things and fixing them, we're finally live. And honestly, it feels pretty surreal even typing these words.

Skillmint has been something we’ve put a huge amount of care and thought into. What started as a simple frustration - seeing great candidates get overlooked because their CV didn’t tick the right boxes - has grown into something bigger. A proper rethink of how early-stage hiring can work. Something fairer, more balanced and hopefully just a bit more human (even if there’s quite a bit of AI working behind the scenes).

AI in hiring is moving fast. Faster than most of us can keep up with. But with that comes huge opportunity and real responsibility. And that’s something we take seriously. As excited as we are about what Skillmint can do, we care even more about making sure it’s done properly. That means building in a way that gives everyone a fair chance, keeps things balanced, and works to remove as much bias as possible. Every candidate deserves a proper shot.

We’ll be honest - it’s early days. And like any new product, there’s plenty we’ll keep learning and improving as we grow. But we’re building Skillmint to be open, transparent and always evolving. We’ll share as we go. What’s working. What’s not. What we’re learning. And we’ll listen (properly listen) to the companies and candidates who trust us along the way.

Privacy matters to us. We know we’re handling real people’s data, and that comes with real responsibility. Every time we build something new, we make sure privacy’s properly covered before it goes anywhere near being released.

So, here we are. Early days, but full of energy. Nervous? A little. Excited? Absolutely.

If you’re reading this, thank you for being here. We’re excited to start, learn, improve, fix what needs fixing, and hopefully make early hiring a bit better for everyone.

Let’s see where this takes us. The Skillmint co-founders
